On the afternoon of March 29th, the Dual Carbon and Environmental Protection science popularization series of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering visited Qibao Mingqiang Primary School in Minhang District and held an activity class in the third grade of the school.
Gu Dungang, a Party member teacher specializing in environmental engineering, gave a lecture titled What is Green Power? He vividly explained abstract concepts such as carbon neutrality and biological carbon sequestration to children, explaining what Green Power is, the relationship between carbon neutrality and Green Power, and how to strengthen Green Power. After the lecture, undergraduate students majoring in environmental engineering, Cheng Zifan and Pan Jiaqi, presided over the game segment after the activity. They led the children to memorize some common plants and birds in Shanghai by looking at pictures, and encouraged them to remember as many species names as possible within a specified time through a challenge competition. The children were enthusiastic and eager to answer questions, gradually increasing their understanding of the diversity of flora and fauna in this city.
