Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the review results of part of projects during the 2021 NSFC centralized acceptance period. SUES got a total of 26 approved projects with a total funding of 10.08 million yuan, including 11 general projects and 15 youth funds.The number of general projects is the highest in the history of SUES.Among the approved projects, there were 11 items in the Department of Engineering and Materials Science, 6 items in the Department of Information Science, 5 items in the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 3 items in the Department of Chemical Science, and 1 item in the Department of Management Science.Among the 26 approved projects, 5 items came from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the School of Textiles and Fashion each got 4 items.The School of Air Transportation, the School of Urban Railway Transportation, and the School of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics each got 3 items. The School of Materials Engineering got 2 items, and the School of Management Studies and the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering each got 1 item.In 2021, the number of approved projects of SUES ranks fifth among municipal universities in Shanghai, which is consistent with the ranking in 2020.
