On 13 July, Clarivate Analytics released the latest ESI data by July 2023. A total of 428 Mainland Chinese universities’ disciplines entered global ESI top 1%. SUES is ranked 238th in Mainland universities, up 13 places from the same time last year (251st ); and 2757th in the globe, up 8 places from the May 2023 ranking, and 508 places from the July 2022 ranking (3265th). SUES total number of academic papers is 5,796 (including 1,116 new academic papers), and the total number of citations is 57,739 (including 19,139 additional citations).
ESI (Essential Science Indicators) is one of the most important analytical tools commonly used worldwide to assess the international academic level and influence of universities, academic institutions, countries or regions. The data covers from 1st January 2013 to 30th April 2023. Up to now, the chemistry disciplines of SUES have entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings.
